Things to do for Fun in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi is a fun place to have a vacation it. It is filled with a lot of fun sports and there is just so much to do. It is famous for its golf courses and indeed there are many beautiful golf courses all over the city. The city also sports many places that offer you the pleasure of water sports, cycling, bike rides etc.
Abu Dhabi has many sports clubs dispersed all over the city. Each club offers you different fun activities. Abu Dhabi is known for its fun clubs. There are clubs that sport the best bowling alleys. In fact there is a bowling alley that has a 40 lane facility. It is believed to be one of the most modern bowling alleys in the world. This same club sports a huge skating ring as well. Many of the clubs like to promote healthy lifestyle and hence offer gyming facilities. There are some clubs that provide you with state-of-the-art facility. They have fitness studios, swimming pools, sailing clubs, drama societies and kids clubs. They also have several water sport clubs. In these clubs you can enjoy fun activities like water skiing, jet skiing, fishing, sailing, rowing and kayaking. The ADIMSC sports the formula one championship for different power boats.
Another fun sport that you just got to try out in Abu Dhabi is Wadi Bashing. It is not a sport for the faint hearted. In this sport all you got to do is, drive a four wheel drive at the highest speed possible, along the stony, dry, bumpy river bed. It is awesome fun. For those of you who do not like extreme sports such as Wadi Bashing, you can opt for snorkeling or scuba diving. The cool waters of the Arabian Gulf are home to many sea mammals. There is a beautiful variety of fish and marine life that make your diving or snorkeling well worth it.
For those of you who like to take it slow and dont really want to get down to doing stuff, I recommend the Camel Safari or the Dhow Crusing. They are both equally fun to do. The Camel Safari takes you for a tour around different sites in Abu Dhabi; it is indeed a unique tour. I recommend you visit Al Ain. It is an inland dessert oasis community.
The Dhow Crusing allows you to go sightseeing to the nearby islands of Abu Dhabi on the traditional Dhow. These ancient sea vessels are really strong and stable. You not only enjoy sites of the nearby islands but also get to view the beautiful bird life and the different marine creatures.
