Father of the Gazelle
The most coveted among the emirates in the United Arab Emirates or the UAE, Abu Dhabi enjoys revenue from tourism all year round. The emirate was founded in 1761, by tribesmen who called their fresh water reserve there by a name that actually translates to 'father of the gazelle'. The capital of the United Arab Emirates or the UAE, Abu Dhabi has changed a lot.

The Abu Dhabi Emirate covers more than half of the country, and stretches up to the borders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Oman.
Al Ain and Liwa Oasis
Some of the most alluring travel destinations in the United Arab Emirates or the UAE are in the Abu Dhabi emirate. These include the famous Liwa Oasis and Al Ain or 'the eye' that is near Dubai. A tree-lined freeway takes you to Al Ain, the largest inland city within the United Arab Emirates or the UAE. It stands amidst impressive red sand dunes and a great mountain range. Al Ain shares its border with Oman and flaunts an excellent road system. The oases have attracted tourists for years now. The archaeological excavations, numerous restored forts and settlements are a must-see. The abundance of water has enabled the blooming of numerous parks and gardens and has earned Al Ain the popular epithet of the 'Garden City of the Gulf'.
Camel Market
Tourists are attracted to Abu Dhabi for the number of facilities and local attractions, the atmosphere and unique culture. The exquisite Camel Market, ancient forts and theme parks are most relaxing and worth all the money spent on the trip. The shopping experience in Abu Dhabi is comparable to none other and travel agents around the world even help you plan the famous desert 'safaris'.
