Introduction

The 2009 season of the formula 1 will end in Abu Dhabi on the new race track at Yas Island. The track name is Yas Marina Circuit and this is the first time we will see Formula 1 in Abu Dhabi.

Construction

The Yas Marina Circuit will be one of its kinds, and is speculated to have a hint of Monaco race track. The length of Yas Marina Circuit will be approximately 3.6 miles of which 1.7 miles will be through the city roads consecutively along the marina. The track comprises of 20 turns. As seen in the other tracks which were designed by Hermann Tilke, this one too will be having the signature lengthy straight which leads into a speed killer hair pin. The construction site was a flat piece of land which was not good to build a good F1 track. So Tilke created some manmade hills on the construction site so the race could have gravitational acceleration and deceleration. Rest assured that Yas Marina Circuit will be an interesting Formula 1 track. We will make sure that we buy abi dhabi formula-1 tickets when they are released in order to see the cars master this track.
